Welcome to Dad Diary #9
Ok so now it’s September. People have started talking about dark nights and pumpkins of all things. But hang on. What just a minute. It may be the first weekend of September but it is still summer.
Astronomically anyway, which has Autumn staring on 22/23 September in line with the Equinox (when day and night are equal length, remember?). For the record, I don’t buy into the whole meteorological Autumn starting on 1 September, which sounds suspiciously like something weather men have made up to make their job a lot easier.
So, why am I rambling on about this? Because this weekend, in defiance of all the Autumn lovers, we went to the beach. Yep, we took the 1 hour car journey to the coast to have one last hoorah before the summer really ends.
It turns out I was reminded just how hard it is to take a decent photo of all three kids together. Not only is it near impossible for them to sit still enough for me to even unlock my phone, but usually one of them has their eyes closed or has a blurred face like they are out of some sort of horror movie.
So this is the best I could do.
And look – short sleeves and shorts still! It was still warm! Because it’s STILL SUMMER!
