It’s the start half term and time at home invariably leads to screens, whether it is TV, tablet or games console. With three kids, we have amassed all sorts of toys over the years that simply do not get played with anymore (but what we’re not allowed to get rid of, obviously…).
This is why I loved walking into the kitchen today to find Roo playing ‘shop’ with these wooden animals, our family favourites from HolzTiger. She spent ages quietly typing in price for each one and ‘scanning’ them through the till. It was so refreshing to see one of the kids spending time enjoying toys that didn’t involve batteries or electronic screens.
