I think it’s safe to say most parents remember when their child decides that the crawling life is no longer for them and it’s time to say hello to a new world on two feet. For our three children, this transition happened at different times:
NJ: 10 months
Roo: 11 months
Jasperino: TBC (at nearly 14 months)
Ok, so no pressure for our youngest, but when compared to his siblings, we’re just not used to having a crawler for so long. This is not to say he has never taken any steps – he can usually muster a few unaided, and can even stand up from sitting and then stumble a few steps completely on his own. He just seems to like crawling a lot (which is fine).
So when we went swimming, the kids showed us how totally cute and supportive they can be, while at the same time providing a glimpse into a future with three walking children. If I’m honest, I can’t wait.
