Brilliant Blogger Award

Brilliant Blogger Award

Anyone who has been blogging for a while will have noticed various awards being passed out by other bloggers – rather than physical ‘awards’ as such, they are a way to let other bloggers know that you love their work and what they do. Although I’m always pleased to be nominated for these type things, I’m particularly happy about the ‘Brilliant Blogger Award’ because it’s a brand new one set up by Annette at 3 Little Buttons – that’s right, I’m one of the first 10 recipients and I am extremely grateful to be recognised and noticed.

As part of this Brilliant Blogger Award I have been asked 5 blogging related questions.

The Questions

1. Are you a full or part-time blogger?

I am very much a part-time blogger as I have a full-time job. I have always loved writing however, and it was part of my University degree (from back in the olden days) and if I wasn’t blogging I’d just be writing other stories that would never be read.

2. What’s your favourite thing to blog/vlog about?

Despite only blogging for just over 10 months I’ve covered a wide range of things, but I tend to always come back to my struggles and perceived inadequacies with dealing with my kids.

3. What’s the best part of being a blogger?

Having part of the internet that is all mine is great, but it is better when someone says they enjoyed reading a post or they have the same struggles as I do.

4. How does blogging make you feel?

I find it quite cathartic to write my jumbled thoughts down or to have a rant about something. When I click on the ‘publish’ button it also makes me incredibly nervous and worried about what people think – something that has never changed since my very first post to this one.

5. You’re stranded on a desert Island with your blogging pals, help is on the way but don’t expect to see the rescue party for at least a week. What will you blog about first!? (Magically, you have unlimited battery and wifi on your phone)

Probably a guide on how to make a raft or a competition on who gets to be eaten first (if it came to that). Maybe I’ll play it safe and list my top 5 ‘stranded on desert island’ films just so I could use this gif:

So, thank you again Annette for my nomination, now it’s my turn. Over the last 10 months, I’ve discovered so many great bloggers it is so difficult to pick out just a few to nominate. However, I have chosen a handful of people whose blogs or posts I have enjoyed reading over the last few months and I want to remind them that someone thinks they are great:
